Stoke UTA (United Taekwondo Association) Taekwondo was founded by Master Peter Johnson 6th Dan. Master Johnson has been practicing, coaching and competing in WTF Olympic Taekwondo for thirty five years.
Stoke UTA Taekwondo aim is to Promote WTF Olympic Taekwondo throughout Staffordshire and Cheshire (and the wider community) to help to maintain well-being and good health in the community through Sport.
Official Syllabus
The club practices the WTF style of Taekwondo covering both Competitive Sport Taekwondo and Technical Poomsae. Stoke UTA offers regular Grading’s and access to UTA Dan Grading’s and Courses. The UTA Grading Syllabus is provided under the guidance and Instructor of Grand Master T W Shin 9th Dan, a two times World Poomsae Champion and Chairman of the United Taekwondo Association.
Stoke UTA is proud to offer Taekwondo Instruction to anyone, no matter the age, background or disability. The club offers access to Local National and International Competitions, as well as courses and Partnerships with Local schools.
Great Record
Stoke UTA has an exemplary Competitive record within the British Taekwondo National Championships in both Korugi (Fighting) and Poomsae (Forms). The club also boasts WTF World Para double Silver medalist! Stoke UTA members can be seen competing both in the UK and around the world!
Trusted instruction.
Stoke UTA provides Classes Six days a week with highly experienced Instructors. All Stoke UTA Instructors are fully Qualified, CRB Checked and hold first aid qualifications.
Instruction is also available on a one to one basis if you get stuck, or if you need that bit extra before you take your grading.
